HEAD COACH
Coach Sei is currently a full time Private/Group Skill Development Basketball Instructor. Being one of the Co-Founders of FAM Elite Men’s Basketball, he is the main recruiter & organizer for the program. Coach Sei also coordinates the College/Pro Skill Training sessions over the Summer & has worked with a ton of high level athletes. Most notable are: Jake Stephens(NBA G League/Overseas) Hassan Whiteside(Ex NBA/Current Overseas), Reid Travis(Kentucky Alumni/NBA G league/Overseas), Billy Preston (Kansas Alumni & Former McDonald’s All American/G league/Overseas), Wayne McCullough II (NBA G League/Overseas), John Gillon (Syracuse Alumni & Ex NBA G League & Overseas) and DJ Stephens (Memphis Alumni & Ex NBA player/Overseas) to name a few.
In Coach Sei’s coaching career with FAM Elite Men’s Basketball, he has been able to help quite a few kids play basketball at the next level. Most notably, the 2025 players that he coached. Coach Sei helped all 8 of his players sign to play college basketball ranging from the D1/D2/D3/JUCO levels. In year 1 on the NXT Puma circuit, FAM Elite 2025 Sei made it to the Elite 8 of the Pro 16 Tournament as well as won the NXT Tournament on the 17u level. Their overall record was 38-9 for that season.
Sei Paye played High School basketball here in Houston, Texas. He attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory & graduated in 2007. He is apart of the 1000 point club at Strake Jesuit. He was nabbed Pre-Season Player of the year in District 17-5A(2007). Named First team All District 17-5A as well as the TABC All-Region Team in 2007. Sei committed to play basketball at Louisiana Monroe university. He transferred and ended up playing four years (2008-2012) at The University of Texas at San Antonio. UTSA went to the NCAA tournament in 2011 and advanced to the 2nd round after defeating Alabama State in the first round. Coach Sei graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio (May 2012) with a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communications. He obtained a Masters of Arts, Human Service Counseling and Executive Leadership at Liberty University. (June 2017).
Coach Sei played professional basketball overseas in Lebanon, Qatar and Pre Season in France(Chatereau) before dislocating his shoulder in 2015. He also toured in Costa Rica and played in the Jump 10 basketball tournament in Beijing, China (August 2016). Coach Sei’s motto is, “Accountability can sometimes feel like a personal attack. Especially, when one is not used to being held responsible, for their actions."
